Concrete consists of cement, sand, gravel and water. As the water evaporates, the other ingredients cure into a hard slab. This curing process causes the concrete to shrink, which results in cracks. Most basement cracks are caused by this normal curing process, or by natural settling of the foundation, and don’t often indicate a structural concern.

Cracks happen. Whether in a basement or garage, patio or sidewalk, cracks are a fact of concrete, and can alarm even the most savvy of homeowners.

However, most concrete cracks pose no structural concern, and can be repaired EASILY, QUICKLY, and AFFORDABLY. CSI’s methods of repairing cracked and leaking foundations are designed to be COST EFFECTIVE and RELIABLE. Our processes are quick, simple, and clean.

Concrete is a porous material that will absorb water and other liquids. When concrete absorbs any harmful material such a grease, oil, rust, or even the tannin from fallen leaves, it will leave a stain on the surface of the concrete. The longer the harmful liquids are exposed to the surface, the more inense the stain becomes.

CSI Concrete Cleaner is an all natural product that has been developed to clean your concrete without harming the environment. By applying the product directly to the stain and agitating with a firm bristle brush, the material is worked into the pores in the concrete to completely remove the harmful liquids. Power Wash or rinse with clean water until product is completely removed from the concrete to finish the cleaning process.

CSI ReNewCrete is a trowel-able or squeegee applied cementitious topping for leveling and re-texturing both interior and exterior concrete surfaces. When broomed, it creates a texture that closely resembles freshly poured and broomed concrete. Typical areas which CSI ReNewCrete can be applied to include, parking decks, driveways, sidewalks, parking lots or any horizontal concrete surface requiring repair of spalled areas, low spots, etc.

CSI ReNewCrete is applied with a bond coat, and is topped off with a broom finish. In areas requiring re-sloping or patching of deeper areas, CSI ReNewCrete is first placed in low areas and screeded to the proper elevation. A second application utilizing a broom finish is then placed to cover repaired areas for a consistent finish.

CSI FlexCrete has a similar finish to normal concrete. It has superior bonding characteristics that are able to withstand freeze-thaw cycling and other forces of nature. Unlike normal concrete, CSI FlexCrete can be applied as thin as 1/16 inch and can be feathered to zero with absolute bonding and no thin section fragility.

CSI FlexCrete can be applied in a number of different applications including sidewalk overlays, curb & gutter repair, step and retaining wall repair, bridge parapet walls, residential driveways, loading ramps and numerous other concrete aprons and structures.

Concrete is actually a porous material. Being a porous material it can absorb water and other liquids. Some of theseliquids can have dissolved materials (salts, acids, etc.) which can severely harm the concrete. Water can enter concrete and freeze. Water which freezes expands by approximately nine percent. This expansion can literally tear concrete apart.

CSI Enviroseal is designed to inhibit and/or prohibit liquids from being absorbed by concrete. By applying CSI Enviroseal you can avoid these problems by closing off the pores to any harmful elements, and warranty your concrete against future cracking.

The best time to apply Enviroseal is 28 days after new concrete has been poured. If Enviroseal is used earlier make sure no visible water is coming out. If applied to early, you could have some discoloration problems. It is ok to mix CSI Enviroseal directly into the cement mixture when making small new pours to completely seal your new pad.
